Privacy Policy

Night Gallery Games (“we”, “us”) builds Cinder Vault. This policy explains what information we process when you use the mobile app, this website, and related services (together, the “Services”).

Information we collect

  • Account & progress identifiers. An anonymous or linked player ID used to sync progress and entitlements across devices when sync is enabled.
  • Purchase data. Product identifiers and entitlement status from Apple, Google, and our billing partner (RevenueCat). We do not receive your full payment card number.
  • Support messages. Name, email, and message content you send via the support form or email.
  • Technical logs. Basic request metadata (timestamps, error codes) needed to operate and secure the API. We avoid storing unnecessary device fingerprints.
  • Usage analytics (optional). Anonymous product events such as scene enters, puzzle outcomes, hints, and purchase results. Events use your player ID and contain no free-text answers or contact details. You can turn this off in the app under Comfort & feel → Usage analytics.

How we use information

  • Provide gameplay progress sync and restore purchases
  • Respond to support requests
  • Maintain security, prevent abuse, and debug failures
  • Understand where players get stuck and improve the experience
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information.

Processors

We may use trusted processors such as Netlify (hosting and forms), database infrastructure for sync, and RevenueCat / store platforms for purchases. They process data only to provide their services to us.

Retention

Progress and entitlement records are kept while your account remains active and for a reasonable period afterward for restore and abuse prevention. Support emails are retained as needed to resolve your request.

Your choices

  • You can play without optional purchases.
  • You can delete sync data in the app under Comfort & feel → Delete sync data. That removes associated progress, purchase mirrors, entitlements, and analytics events from our servers and clears progress on the device (a new player ID is issued). Store purchases remain with Apple or Google until you request a refund there. You can also email support@cindervault.app with your player ID if you need help.
  • You can disable usage analytics in the app at any time; we will stop collecting new events from that device.
  • You can stop using the Services at any time.

Children

The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region). If you believe we have collected such data, contact us and we will delete it.
